The first recording of the pioneering klezmer revival band Brave Old World, founded in 1989 by Joel Rubin with Michael Alpert (vocals, violin), Alan Bern (accordion, piano) and Stuart Brotman (bass, cimbalom, tuba, balalaika, bass balalaika, drum, sleigh bells. Only recordings featuring the late singer-drummer Ben Bazyler (1922-1990), the only surviving member of the Kalushiner Klezmorim from Warsaw.
